MindShot · PRIVACY

Your streak lives on your phone alone.

MindShot keeps things private by design: no login, no raw answers shared with sponsors, aggregate analytics, and only the minimum pseudonymous technical data needed if you opt into reminders.

01

No login

We don't know who you are. We don't want to.

02

No account

No email, no profile, no friends, no feed.

03

Local streak

Your day-count lives in this device. Clear storage to reset; we won’t stop you.

04

Aggregate analytics

We use aggregate reporting only. Sponsors and the team do not see personal user data.

05

Reminders are optional

If you opt in, you can change the time or turn the reminder off. No login, name or email is required.

06

Sponsors restrained

Sponsors may fund editions. They never see your data and never interrupt the ritual.

Optional daily reminders

If you choose a daily reminder, MindShot stores a pseudonymous browser push subscription, its encryption keys, your selected local time, IANA timezone and coarse platform details. The push endpoint is kept private and used only to send the reminder. Turning reminders off removes the endpoint and keys immediately; invalid subscriptions are also removed immediately. Inactive subscriptions and granular reminder records are removed after 90 days. Notification permission is requested only after you choose the reminder option.

Approximate geography

MindShot may collect approximate country, region, city and timezone from server request metadata to understand usage patterns and prepare aggregate reports. We do not collect GPS location, postal code, IP address, names, email addresses or raw answers.

Public result links

When a completed result screen becomes ready for sharing, MindShot may prepare a limited anonymous result snapshot containing the result verdict, supporting line, artwork reference, edition number and edition date. It excludes identity, score, streak, answers, question-level results and detailed performance data. The resulting link is opaque, unindexed, anonymous, immutable and revocable.
